Crocodile Tears

I'm reading either the 6th or 7th book in the Alex Rider Series and so far it is very good. In the part I'm at right now Alex is taken to an abandoned safari camp in Africa against his will. Then he begins being tortured by having to hold onto a bar over three hungry crocodiles after a couple minutes the McCain leaves and his wife stays to watch Alex die. After another minute Alex can't go for much longer but then an agent from the Indian intelligence agency RAW pushes McCain's wife into the crocodile pit and saves Alex and that's where I left off. One more thing the Alex Rider series is great if you're into intense action and spy books. Oh and the next book I'm going to read is Hunger Games.

Gun/Hunters Safety for kids

Author's Note: In Multimedia I'm doing a persuasive topic for a project and my teacher told me to check in the SIRS Knowledge Database for a idea on what to do and this is what I chose because it is a big topic and there is a lot of argument over if kids should have gun safety or not. I know this isn't Multimedia but I just wanted to express my opinion on this topic in a blog post so you guys could read.

There is a lot of controversy over this specific topic and there are many different opinions but I believe kids should be given hunters safety. I know that people say that you shouldn't teach kids how to use guns but keep them away from them. That is true but kids need to know what to do if they encounter a weapon, I mean you don't want a kid picking up a gun thinking it's a toy and accidentally start shooting. If a kid is not educated in gun safety that could very easily happen. You could make the point that even though people are educated there are still accidents that also is true but you can never avoid accidents they happen all the time. Now whats your opinion on this topic?

Haiti Food Pack

Authors Note: My mom and I went to a food pack Sunday at the State Fair Exp Center for starving kids in Haiti and I decided to write about my experience.

The Worldwide Hunger Relief set up the food pack to help the homeless kids in Haiti who don't have food. The experience I had was awesome, we were assigned to a table with five other people and we packed meals for a hour and a half. All of the meals included a soy bean mix, protein powder, vegetables and rice and we had to pack, weigh and seal the meals so they could be shipped.

They told us that each of the meals we packed could feed six people and we packed 36 into each box. We packed 12 boxes and that equals one shipping pallet, so if you do the math we could feed almost 2500 people just by working for only an hour and a half.

At the start I didn't think that it was going to be that good but once we started really getting into it I had a great time. The people we worked with were really nice and there was another boy who was probably 10 or 11 that was working with us so it wasn't too bad.

It was awesome and it was a great cause so I felt I had done something huge when I left. They do have special events for schools so it is possible that we could have a food pack at our school.

POEM

FALL
It means Halloween, hunting season, and tons of fun
It is leaves falling on your shoulders
It's cool mornings that remind you that winter's coming
you think of cold and misery but then you think of good times sledding snowball fights and hot chocolate
fall is colorful
This is fall

Carl Yung Method

A man named Carl Yung has found that if you use word association you can think of ideas that you weren't thinking of before. Mr. Johnson Taught us this method and now I use it all the time to think of writing topics. In  fact some of my past posts I came up with using this method. This is very effective in coming up with good ideas, I'd suggest this method to anyone who has trouble thinking of stuff to write about.
