Reading Response: Inside Delta Force

Inside Delta Force is a story of one of the first members of Delta Force a counter-terrorism unit created by the USA. It is told by the man himself talking about his life in the army and the Delta Force training and operations. Where I'm at in the book he is finishing up his training with a forty mile hike. This book is very interesting because I never really realized how much physical fitness is required to pass the special forces training because just from reading you can tell it is insane. I mean it is like 18 mile runs, large hikes through mountains from RV to RV (rendezvous points), and vigorous exercises that make even the strongest men drop out. Personally I don't see how people even pass the courses. Well I guess that's a different topic, anyway this is a good book if you like to read non-fiction. I don't read a lot of non-fiction but I actually like this book and I guess I'd recommend it but it just depends on the kind of reader you are and what kind of books you like.
